Who uses Mentor

Mentor is a personal assistant used only by its owner, on the owner's own computer. It is not offered to anyone else, and no one else can sign in to it.

What Google information Mentor uses

With the owner's permission, Mentor reads the owner's Gmail, Google Calendar and the documents in a "Mentor" folder on their Google Drive; it saves Gmail drafts and adds events to the owner's own calendar when the owner asks. It uses this only to help the owner: summaries, reminders, a daily plan, job matching and drafts the owner reviews.

Where it is kept

Mentor's data, and the Google sign-in it uses, stay on the owner's own computer, readable only by the owner. Mentor's language model also runs on that computer.

Sharing

Mentor does not sell, share or rent Google user data, does not use it for advertising and does not use it to train AI models. The only place Mentor sends it is to the owner themselves: messages for the owner travel through Telegram to the owner's own Telegram chat, and scheduled reminders wait in a script in the owner's own Google account until they are sent to that chat.

Mentor's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Removing access and data

The owner can remove Mentor's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, and can delete Mentor's data from their computer.
